If a monster with a high armor level approached however, a strong gem might be very useful - the monster's armor will absorb most of the damage weaker gems can inflict.Ĭlick on a monster to view info about it, but also to highlight it for your towers to shoot. It's better to have more towers with somewhat weaker gems in them, than a few towers with stronger gems. Look at the range indicator (yellow circle) of the inserted gem to see how far it can shoot, and place it in a tower that can give it the longest path to cover. It might be worth placing a tower at one square distance from the path instead of right next to it. If you want to shoot them, they should be in the gem's range you want to place in the tower Place your towers in positions where they can cover the longest path possible, but also look out for beacons, shards, nests, and tombs. Try to avoid making gems containing more than three base types. If you want a gem to have a strong special ability, but also benefit from the triple (or dual) bonuses, create 2 or 3 grade 1 gems, each of a different type, combine them together, and then build onward using only pure gems of the type you want to boost.
So if you want to use the special ability of a gem, combine it only with gems of the same type. If you combine two gems of different types, you get both specials but with a decreased power. It does make me wish, how ever, that there was a key bind to let ya gem bomb the next 5 waves, or at least let you do multiple gem bombing on a single wave tile (e.g do a auto 5 gem bomb on a wave), cos its admitdly grinding having to keep pausing to then gem bomb the next waves (though that also does kinda cause the game to lag when ya got 1k+ monsters steam rolling at you).
Stephen a écrit :Tbf, it may be a good idea on looming to get access to all the gems, admitdly it made life a bit difficult on a few levels, but once you get crit, mana, chain and poolbound, you will simply sky rocket, since poolbound will, once leveled, will siginificantly boost the power of any gem (make sure to also invest in traps, mana stream and true colours, these will senergise very well), that siad, don't pour all your skill points into them, since ya kinda need the starting mana to let ya deploy the high grade gems.
